Climate Change

“Our World is Changing”

Climate Change is a serious global problem and its “Alarm bell” manifestations can no longer be ignored. It constitutes an immense scientific Diocletian sword that hangs over humankind’s head.

Several factors interact to bring about climate change and among them are greenhouse gasses the increasing amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the incessant burning of fossil fuels.
Although it would be self-deceiving to assert that humans can’t be faulted for bringing about climate change its deleterious consequences the undeniable fact screams than man is the author of his own woes. As global population upsurge remains uncontrolled, more mouths to feed exploit natural resources. Forests, which provide oxygen, are indiscriminately slashed and burned and devoted to agricultural production. Thus with oxygen sources diminished each day the volume of carbon dioxide released increases dramatically.

The burning of fossil fuels in industrial production, power generation transport systems, and other purposes has been attributed to as the principal culprit behind the accumulation of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere which in turn, punctured a hole in the earth’s protective ozone layer as big as Antarctica. As more cities and population centers come into existence, more roads, dams, bridges and infrastructures are built, waste materials pollute The soul water and air, global environment gets inevitably damaged, and in the process, effects climatic change. Thus, man himself is driving the nails to his environmental and climatic coffin.

"Equal Rights Equal Opportunities"

Oft. Repeatedly asserted is that Divine Providence Created all men equal and by Omni potential design, every Adam’s son and Eve’s daughter is bestowed with equal rights and correspondingly equal opportunities.
In a Philippine socio-political context, the equal rights doctrine is constitutionally enshrined in the Bill of Rights. Every Filipino citizen is guaranteed with inviolable rights, privileges and legal entitlements and by implication; equal opportunities are available to all.
Lamentably however, prevailing social, economic and political conditions provide screaming evidence that the afore mentioned fundamental-law mandate is more honored in the breach than in observance and has actually lapsed into a dead letter. Philippine Society is divided into two interest-conflicting camps-entrenched wealth and grinding impoverishment. The privileged minority control capital, resources, and the means of production, businesses and almost all revenue-generating persuits while the disfranchised majority remains stuck in poverty’s quagmire. This Yawning disparity can be singularly portrayed by the multi-hundred-million-peso mansions in such opulent enclaves as Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village Compared with the miserable squatters dog-houses precariously perched along Filthy estero banks. Political dynasties and vested interests enjoy a monopolistic stranglehold on elective leadership positions from the barangay to the national level while the opportunity of the unmonied to grab an electoral seat is parodied to be as good as the chance of a show flake.
Equal rights and Equal opportunities? Hagwash!

"Going Global Through The English Language"

As global communications expands throughout the world, so does the need of a global lingua franca that is recognized and understood by people everywhere. In most countries around The World, English has been established as a medium of communication and is found in same form or another whether it be in an international news broadcast like CNN or a Chicago Bulls Fee shirt pop music international business, politics and culture, and even the recently concluded Miss World and Miss Universe Pageants at Indonesia and Russia, respectively.
Exports attribute the worldwide spread of English, to the emergence of The United States as a global superpower and a Cultural giant, trailblazing in the fields of medical research technological innovation, space exploration, sophisticated Military weaponry and gadgetry, and in other scientific disciplines. One Fact stands obvious-a language becomes an international language because of the political and military power of its people.
It is estimated that the number of Native English speaker is 300 to 450 million people but more than one billion are approximated to speak English as a second or foreign language. In some 20 to 30 countries, English is merging with native languages consequence with the Creation of hybrid English tongues.
Indeed, English has arrived a global language.

My Teacher, My Hero!

Teaching has always been acknowledged and acclaimed as mankind's noblest profession and a teacher, who inculcates upon his scholastic ward the art of living well, is more honored than parents who merely give the child life.

My teacher did not just happen. He earned his educator's diploma with sweat and distinction. He is the product of the highest personal motivation and unflinching professional dedication. Indeed, my teacher dwells on The Duty of Happiness as well as The Happiness of Duty.

In school, my teacher not only imparts knowledge about linguistics, mathematics, the sciences and other academic disciplines and study fields, but also take pains to make attractive and intelligible what at first appear repulsive and uninteresting.

Aside from his instructional tasks, my teacher likewise performs the delegated responsibilities of parenthood. Precepts of moral discipline, ethical conduct, core values and citizenship duties are planted in the minds of his students.

Unlike his office-based professional counterparts who follow an eight-hour work day a mentor performs his duties beyond the school campus and extends up to the graveyard hours of the eight. It is home tasks include, but not limited to organizing the next day's lesson content and crafting the corresponding instructional methodology and writing these down in his lesson plan; checking quizzes, examination papers and voluminous projects; score recording and grade computing. Indeed a teacher's daily routine is a calvary walk and a station of the cross combined!

My Teacher? He is my HERO!

"Unravel the Causes,Build the solution,Empower science clubbers to action"

Sometimes all things that happen in our community/society like issues, has a 3 ways, one is causes, two is solution and the last, to trace and to action.

Cutting down trees is the cause, why there is a flash floods and landslide. Throwing garbage in the river is also a cause, why the Pasig river is dirty. The solution for this issues or things that are happening to our community is to avoid cutting down trees  and segregate those biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials. To make our environment clean we don't have just solution, we must do it, trace and action. To avoid those disasters that are happening to our society.

We aren't that all things that we cannot expect that happen in our life, communication or our society, maybe there is a fact that's why we aren't built the solution, to trace and to help each other to pursuing its action.

Modern Day Hero

Who do I look up to as a Modern Day Hero? In my humble judgement the honor and recognition is deserved by the esteemed members of the noblest profession. The Teachers!
Teachers play a crucial role in national competitiveness. It is no coincidence that the quality of the Philippine education started deteriorating with the exodus of public school teachers for better paying jobs overseas. Many preferred to work as nannies abroad rather than teach in their own country.
Because of the work involved and modest pay, teaching in the Philippine entails sacrifice and dedication to service. In certain cases, teachers play a greater role than parents in preparing a child for life’s challenges. It is little wonder that the first Filipino to be honored as an international hero by CNN was a teacher, Who brought education to the extremely poor on a cart laden with learning materials. They have been held hostage, raped and decapitated by terrorists. And yet schools continue to operate in these conflict Zones, with teachers prepared to place their lives on the line knowing that these are the most needed.
Dedicated teachers deserve the nation’s gratitude, not just during September which is the special month for mentors but every day.

"Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid"

Buwan ng Wika 2013

This Years theme is "Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid", with five sub-themes: Wika natin ay wika ng katarungan at kapayapaan; Wika natin ay Laban sa katiwalian; Wika natin ay Sandata laban sa kahirapan; Wika natin ay wikang mabilisan, Inklusibo, at Sustenidong kaunlaran; at Wika natin ay wika sa pangangalaga sa kapaligiran.

Language is an indispensable component in man's life. It serves as a medium to convey a person's thoughts, ideas and emotions. Thru language, people can socialize, interact and communicate with each other.

Without a common tongue, there would be confusion chaos in society. Mass media like radio, television and even newspapers would have no relevance. People would remain ignorant and self centered. Misunderstandings and conflicts would exist.

Reflection

My School Life Reflection

The Learnings and Discoveries that I have learned this 1st Grading Period in I.C.T Subject are exploring the other unfamilliar web sites and new web sites in the Internet and I also learn how to create or make a Blog Account and creating Electronic Mails on Yahoo and Google. I also learn more  lessons or new things from other subjects that we have in our High School Life.

We encounter a lot of problems in our school life and even in our own life. In School every students have a problem, with the same situation but different reasons. I have a problem in my school life. Physics is one of the difficult subjects that I have in my school life. Math is one of my hatest subjects. But I'm starting to love it now.

In  Physics and in Math, I addressed it by listening in my teachers discussion and by reviewing and understanding my notes every night.

Moving on for me is very easy. You can Forget the bad memories in the past and start it with a new one. Just like moving on in the failure subjects that u have and start it again by improving the mistakes you have and study well.

SONA of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III

Reaction to the Fourth SONA of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III
The perennial president state of the Nation Address or SONA highlights the Chief Executive’s past accomplishments and outlines the national developmental road map.
The president claimed the following Achievements:

2.     The Philippines was upgraded to investment grade by the “Big Three” rating agencies: Fitch ratings, Standard and Poors and Mode’s Investor Service.
·        Comment: Notwithstanding the upgraded Status, no foreign investor of worth has gambled his money in the country. Bureaucratic corruption scares them away. The alleged attempt by a high DOTC official to squeeze a $30 million dollar bribe from the Czech company called Inacom Group to be awarded the contract to supply 48 new Nain’s for the MRT3 project remains a burning issue.
3.     The signing of the Peace Agreement with the MILF.
·        Comment: There is no assurance that comprehensive peace will be attained as certain difficult matters will still be threshed out.
4.     The adoption of the K to 12 Educational System.

5.     The passage of the Reproductive Health Bill.
·        Comments: The constitionality of the law has been attacked by the Roman Catholic and the case is pending oral acquirements and Adjudication by the Supreme Court.
6.     Passing of the Sin Tax Law.
·        Comment: Increased taxes on tobacco products and alcoholic beverages are an economic blessing. Much needed revenues are generated.
7.     The CCT program covering 3 million beneficiates.
·        Comment: The program is both a blessing and a curse. It comes as an additional income of the poor being a dole-out, the program encourages indolence.
8.     Increase in Rice Production.

·        Comment: Despite this agricultural achievement the country’s rice production is insufficient to feed the nation’s fast-growing population.
