My Teacher, My Hero!
Teaching has always been acknowledged and acclaimed as mankind's noblest profession and a teacher, who inculcates upon his scholastic ward the art of living well, is more honored than parents who merely give the child life.
My teacher did not just happen. He earned his educator's diploma with sweat and distinction. He is the product of the highest personal motivation and unflinching professional dedication. Indeed, my teacher dwells on The Duty of Happiness as well as The Happiness of Duty.
In school, my teacher not only imparts knowledge about linguistics, mathematics, the sciences and other academic disciplines and study fields, but also take pains to make attractive and intelligible what at first appear repulsive and uninteresting.
Aside from his instructional tasks, my teacher likewise performs the delegated responsibilities of parenthood. Precepts of moral discipline, ethical conduct, core values and citizenship duties are planted in the minds of his students.
Unlike his office-based professional counterparts who follow an eight-hour work day a mentor performs his duties beyond the school campus and extends up to the graveyard hours of the eight. It is home tasks include, but not limited to organizing the next day's lesson content and crafting the corresponding instructional methodology and writing these down in his lesson plan; checking quizzes, examination papers and voluminous projects; score recording and grade computing. Indeed a teacher's daily routine is a calvary walk and a station of the cross combined!
My Teacher? He is my HERO!
